How To Know If You're Burning Out At Work?
Burning out at work when left unchecked can wreak havoc on your health, relationships, happiness and job performance. According to the Dr. David Ballard, PsyD who is head of the American Psychological Association's Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program, "Job burnout is defined as an extended period of time where someone experiences exhaustion and a lack of interest in things which results in a decline in their job performance. A lot of burning out at work really has something to do with experiencing chronic stress. In such situations, the demands being placed on you exceed the resources you have available to deal with the stressors."
